Hand Load BY OPERATORS

Components that can not be fitted by machine due to their size, shape or nature are hand fitted by operators at the hand load stage. Hand assembly is carried out at one of our 50 manual assembly stations fitted with full ESD protection, bonding and mating.

Once the hand load of components is complete the board is passed through one of four Blundell Cropmatic lead cropping machines to ensure the correct lead length for flow soldered.

Components are supplied to operators kitted up to the latest Bill of Materials supplied by the customer.

In line with our tailored manufacturing these kits may be in various forms:

• Fully supplied by the customer
• Ashgill Supplied Material
• Or a mixture of both of the above
